It’s coming. Can you feel it? The infection is spreading…

Starbucks had always had trouble keeping out the undead.

That’s right – tonight’s the night of the Singapore Zombie Walk, just in time for the Halloween weekend. Following in the footsteps of cities all over the world like Toronto, Brisbane and San Diego, comes Singapore’s first large-scale zombie walk. For the uninitiated, a zombie walk basically involves a group of people dressed as zombies moving from one point to another, while groaning and shuffling like the undead. It may not be quite as exciting as¬†The Walking Dead Escape I tried out a few months back, but it’ll still be totes fun.

It all starts at Riverside Point at 829pm, with the zombie hoard winding their through Clarke Quay before ending back at the same mall by 959pm. The route covers roughly 800m. At last count, at least 150 people have signed up, and the event has already gotten coverage in The Straits Times and The New Paper. And a reliable source tells me (oh all right, my girlfriend is the organiser) more of the media may just show up tonight…

Even if you’re not joining the zombie walk as one of the undead, do come on down and join the fun. You can also find the walk on Twitter¬†@SGZombieWalk. If you do come tonight and are tweeting about it, please use the hash tag #undeadsg. See you at Riverside Point!

It ain’t easy ambling about and eating human flesh.
